Super Reaper Composite Fuel Tank Mold Construction

Mold Construction - Day 2

Even though this says day 2, the first few pictures are a continuation from the night before. In order to align both mold halves once they are completed I will be using furniture glides. I drilled a small hole and push the the glides into my parting board. On the back side I used some CA to insure that they stay put.

.As you can see I put the glides down using 1 at each corner.

After the glides were all done I started to apply the PVA over the entire plug and parting board. The PVA was applied using the paper towel method as shown before.

Another picture showing the wet PVA. It will dry in about 1 to 2 hours and like before the bubbles will disappear.

Again another picture showing the PVA after just being applied.

After drying over night the PVA as you can see is completely dry and I can now get ready to apply the tooling resin.
