Construction Details

12-09-04 - Construction of our CNC Foam Cutter has begun. See our complete build pictorial.

12-08-04 - Houston Hobbies is considering selling a complete Ready to Run version to the public once we fully test and complete ours. We are thinking this machine should sell for around $795 or possibly a kit version for about $595. Of course they would be made to order; thus, incur a lead time of about 1 week. Stay tune for more details.

11-29-04 - Figured out that the controller board that will be used for our CNC Router would not be compatible with our CNC foam cutter. Since the foam cutter will use 4 stepper motors, it will require a 4 axis controller unlike the router with only needs 3 axis. Some construction coverage and pictures will be posted soon. Please check back.

10-20-04 - Started to source out the materials for our project.
